SkillsLink

Local browser tool

Turn a document into an editable link.

Choose a Markdown file. SkillsLink reads it only in this browser and generates compact portable links for the complete document and all of its semantic parts.

How automatic splitting works

SkillsLink always creates the complete URL when it fits the compatibility limit. A shared CommonMark and GFM parser divides headings, paragraphs, fenced code blocks, list items, quotes, tables, and other Markdown blocks. Anything above 1 KiB is divided again at safe text boundaries.

Tips for an AI skill file

  1. Use one # heading for the skill name and purpose.
  2. Separate triggers, workflow, output, and examples with focused ## and ### headings.
  3. Keep paragraphs, code blocks, and list items below 1 KiB; move long examples or references into another .md file.
  4. Exclude generated logs, binary data, embedded Base64, credentials, and secrets.
